The rise of fascism in Italy under Benito Mussolini and the creation of his dreaded Blackshirt Youth movement remind me of PKR's young upstarts.
Like the Blackshirt youth movement during the time of Mussolini, the PKR upstarts comprised of disgruntled semi-educated and hard-done by youth that are easily manipulated by our own Mussolini, Brother Anwar Bin Ibrahim (ABI).
Like the Blackshirts of the yore, PKR members and upstarts are no better. They looked upon the established society and with the help of the system that they loathed, namely government aid and scholarship and program, that they swear under their breath that when they become a success they will take on their revenge on what they perceived as that special group of the ruling elite governing and controlling their lives.
But the truth is stranger than fiction. And ABI can attest to that. The previous governments of the past were set up and elected to look after the interest of the people. I would like to talk about the Malays especially. The government looked after the smart ones, the smart ones got to be sent to prestigious colleges like the Malay College Kuala Kangsar (MCKK) and ABI was one of them and now he is bent on destroying a system that has been responsible for his upbringing. What an ingrate that he is!
Now that he had his special education and he now wants to be part of that entrenched ruling elite. As I said before: money and education alone cannot guarantee you join the club!
Then there is this par venu named Zaid Ibrahim, a poor boy who made it okay, but not without the help of his government.
Like the disgruntled Black Shirts of Mussolini, who were made up of lower-income and lower-middle class youths, and peasants and street urchins like Tian Chua and Gobalakrishnan, Azmin Ali, Fairus Kamaruddin of the disgruntled Malaysian Black Shirts, I have this for you all!
No matter how expensive your Armani suit is you guys will always be persons of not even a B grade. You all will still look like a drug addict, a pariah, an ingrate Malays and an awkward human being that when push comes to shove, you guys will still pick your teeth with a tooth pick and pick your noses at a Queen's function at the Buckingham Palace!
BTW the Black Shirts and Benito Mussolini were crushed in the end. IN the end the so-called "ruling elite" came back to power in Italy. And I suspect the same will happen in this great country, where good breed is equal to the making of many more great leaders. In this country great leaders, but not in the image of Brother Anwar Bin Ibrahim or Zaid Ibrahim, are still aplenty!
Long live for the good breed!
