Are we a caring and a humane society.....I wonder sometime!

This picture has been haunting me for many nights..
(TV Smith thank you very much!)

And this is one of the many Malaysians hedonistic traits that will eventually forced this country to be loathed and hated further by the rest of the international community is our.
I am beginning to hate this system myself for appearing to be uncaring, and while fighting among each other for power we have forgotten what it is like to be caring and forgiving.
Hundreds of helpless dogs have been dumped into one of the many deserted mangrove and swampy islands near Pulau Ketam, in Klang read more here, and these canine species have to fend for themselves to live in this harsh and cruel environment for dogs and yet the elitist and uppity Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) has yet to take action, or the government has yet to take action.
We must not only take preventive measures to show to the world that we are not involved, among other things, in human trafficking but we must also demonstrate to the world that we are also a caring society where we also take care of our animal friends.
Islam, for example, requires all living things to be protected, Islam also requires the umah to care for the planet. I am sure other religions also require to do the same.
Yet, the plight of our canine species on a mangrove island near Pulau Ketam has not been taken notice while we are busy with our stimulus package, economic recovery, and for our quest to acquire more. I hope our OneMalaysia concept also encompasses our affinity with other living things and the preservation of our environment!!
I urge the government to pause for a moment and someone has to address the problem of our animal friends.
We all should get rid of our proverbial blinker and try to imagine we are one of those poor puppies about to be eaten by other adult aggressive dogs. Until then and if we cannot resolve the fate of our own stranded on this mangrove swampy island, we have to stop imagining we are caring society. We must stop lying to ourselves that we are decent and humble human being when we cannot even save our animal friends.

P.S. Please refrain from sending nasty comments for this posting, please don't! Think of the poor animal!

Bro sorry to send in some corrections to you. I am a subscriber to SPCA's newsletter.

I have used a blog to highlight SPCA's work.

As for the Pulau Ketam issue, SPCA has been working hard for it and several volunteers have also joined in.

It seems that the Dogs have been eating each other. And many attempted to swim to mainland too. It is indeed sad.

I hope the Veterinary Department of Selangor and SPCA continue their efforts to save the inhumane treatment towards the canines.

When there was a chance to put these dogs to be put to sleep the humane way everybody decided to be a champion. The question to answer here is what happened to the money that was collected and after 2 months saving 2o to 30 dogs was never the answer when you knew this was one battle you could not win as this was a mangrove swanp,tq.

Dengan kerana BABI--- DAP tikam belakang PAS
DAP sanggup tikam belakang PAS hanya kerana satu rumah lapah babi

Penduduk Kampung Buah Pala a.k.a.

NI DAP sorang kat kedah to tak Khianat Pakatan Rakyat ke.. or more specifically, tak khianat PAS ke?

DAP bukan sekadar memaki hamun pas tapi meninggalkan pakatan hanya kerana sebuah rumah lapah babi, apa agaknya reaksi mereka kalu PAS betul betul mahukan negara Islam

DAP begitu lantang menghina Haji Hadi Awang kerana mahukan orang Melayu dan Islam bersatu kononnya ia mengguris perasaan Cina dan bukan Melayu yang lain, tetapi di Kedah mereka tak hiraukan langsung perasaan orang Melayu. Yang peliknya Nik Aziz setuju cakap DAP pulak tu... entahlah

pikir pikirkanlah wahai orang Malaysia

Dear Pasquale,

It's pathetic what they have done. Tak berperikehaiwanan langsung! I hope there are places in Hell for these types of people.

I've asked TV Smith how i can help from afar but he has yet to give me details. I check his blog almost everyday but there's no update. What's the latest?

I want to help but how do i go about it?. i live in Jb aren't there any people near Pulau Ketam who could help? Please SPCA do something about this. Can i just give donations to a body that can handle the job? Please people do something about it. Please save these poor creatures. My heart is bleeding!

People say to see how the society fare you just have to see how their dogs are treated.

If we get rid of dogs than won't we solve the problem?

Why not a society without women and we men will not commit sex crime, that is how some people looks at things. A religious view some says.

Malaysians are definitely not caring when it comes to animals.

When it comes to humans, the record is a bit mixed. you have incidentals of people rarely helping others in distress but you also get reports of people going to great length to save lives.

I just came back from the UK.

I can tell you the Brits cares a lot about their animals and how they treat them.

BUT..... well I was travelling from Chester to Crewe on a train carrying my sleeping 3 year old child. The train was full and no one not one person offered his or her seat to me not my 6 year old. We had to stand and rock all the entire 40 minutes.

Other countries are no better either.

Pasquale, yes I agree that the government must step in to help these poor creatures or forever they will be condemned as an insensitive bunch of greedy and corrupt people running the country!

Actually where the dogs came from? Surely dogs can't swim to Pulau Ketam from nearby islands. So these canines most probably were raised and grown up in the island itself unless it was intentionally ferried from somewhere else and simply dumped in the swamps.

No doubt, something must be done to help save these 'endangered' species. However, the tragedy might recur if the actual cause to what look like as a state of inhumane treatment is taken into consideration and appropriately dealt with by interested parties.

If we don't have anything positive to say, better don't spill out negative resentments!! This is bad for the future of 'one Malaysia' concept. Why can't after reading an article and if there is nothing beneficial, one's either go to hell or shut his mouth up for good?

Cause of that problem and most other problems we have in this world isn't exactly humans.

According to some clever old people at some university/research group a couple of years ago, it's the overpopulation of humans.

Those people said there is at least 60% humans too many for this Earth to cater to everybody's needs.

Therefore, let's start killing each other now...

Anonymous said...

I was wrong. The earth is overpopulated not by 60% as I've stated earlier, but 90%. Check this out:

...the controversial University of Texas professor who advocates the mass death of 90% of the world's human population.

Dr. Eric R. Pianka gave a speech to the Texas Academy of Science last month in which he advocated the need to exterminate 90% of the population through the airborne ebola virus. Pianka's chilling comments, and their enthusiastic reception again underscore the elite's agenda to enact horrifying measures of population control.

Standing in front of a slide of human skulls, Pianka gleefully advocated airborne ebola as his preferred method of exterminating the necessary 90% of humans, choosing it over AIDS because of its faster kill period. Ebola victims suffer the most tortuous deaths imaginable as the virus kills by liquefying the internal organs. The body literally dissolves as the victim writhes in pain bleeding from every orifice.

Pianka was later presented with a distinguished scientist award by the Academy. Pianka is no crackpot. He has given lectures to prestigious universities worldwide....

Muahahahaha!!!!!

My neighbours bitch gave birth to five puppies few months back.. mama plus papa plus 2other sibling puppies, 9doggies in all. Yapping all the time.

Suddenly, I noticed some quietness, only 2left, so enquired what happened to the rest.. told me he threw them away..

Asked him where? Tepi jalan kawasan perumahan!! Solved his problems..

Please do something to educate these types of humans...

Well, Malaysians in general are just uncaring, selfish bastards. As a Malaysian who has spent some time abroad in the UK. The RSPCA there is so effective and people actually are so excited to help an animal in need. In malaysia we treat them as roadkill, pests. Another problem is that these animals are dogs. And most Muslims have a subconcious fear of them because of several verses from the Hadith. Its unfortunate that they forget that dogs are gods creation too and should be treated with respect.
