"Rehab" Tamil Tigers child soldiers to work or already working in Malaysia?!

Yes unfortunately they were children before they were kidnapped to be turned into killers, but this is not our concern to be that neighbourly by taking them in, send them to India Tamil Nadu State for rehabilitation we already have enough problems here!

They have tasted blood and now we, a do gooder, are taking them as construction workers and WILL be keeping an eye for them?? I doubt it!

The article below is from AFP, and if it is true than the government is either stupid or desperate to take in child soldiers from Sri Lanka to work here, we have enough problem already. To these child soldiers killing is a normal behaviour!! Can some one explain this to me please! BTW one cannot retrain serial killers!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

''Sri Lankan child soldiers get jobs in Malaysia: govt

A group of former child soldiers from Sri Lanka's Tamil Tiger rebels have won jobs on construction sites in Malaysia after undergoing re-training, the government here said Thursday.

The seven men were among hundreds of former child soldiers who surrendered in the months before government troops finally defeated the Tigers in May at the end of decades of ethnic warfare.

Now aged between 19 and 21, the seven joined the Tigers' ranks as children and fought with the rebels in their unsuccessful and bloody campaign for an independent Tamil state.

Some former fighters are not charged over their involvement with the rebels and instead undergo one-year vocational training in plumbing, masonry, carpentry and electrical work at state-run welfare centres.

The government, which has often been accused of mistreating the large Tamil minority in Sri Lanka, says it helps the child soldiers secure jobs overseas or return to their villages in the north and east of the island. AFP

"This is the first batch of former child soldiers for whom we have been able to find jobs in Malaysia," Cyril Jayawardene, a senior executive of the government's rehabilitation bureau, said.

The Justice Ministry is in the process of rehabilitating some 3,000 fighters.''

I know you are being facetious but there is nothing personal here I am only thinking of our country! We do not need any more social problem to be imported!

The LTTE tigers are barbarians. The memory of a killing by LTTE of around 80 Muslims while they were saying their prayers in Sri Lanka a decade ago still lingers in my memory. These barbarians should not be allowed to set foot in Malaysia. Even in India, they are most hated group!

Pasquale. I am a bot worried at this development. Did the Indian govermnet request our help. Or is it the initiative from certain quarters from our country to have them here. They are trained in military strategy after all.

pray tell me what social problems are u talking about? the vast majority of social problems are committed by locals, whether they be indian rowdys, chinese ah longs or malay mat rempits. If you would have bothered to do your research, 90 of crimes are commited by locals, and the rest are usually by indonesians. Sri lankan tamil construction workers dont have any chance of blending into society,or remaining stealthy while going on those "kiiling sprees" that you are so worried about. They would stick out like a sore thumb, they sound totally different from any local tamil. I do not think the employers are being charitable by hiring them, they will probabably be paid rock bottom salaries. For someone whose entire polirical party is based upon exploiting immigrants you surely have a unique perspective.

Why are we taking in ex-terrorists???

Where are all the usual street demo and stuff to protest this?
Where's suhakam, bersih, 1black msia etc?

Pasquale said...

Yeah where is the news in the MSM and it was not even reported by Bernama, THE Malay Mail and I had to stumble upon the news item by AFP on the internet! Yeah why are we taking in ex-terrorists!

Bad enough with the bangsats within, now they want to bring in more of the- same shit but different timeline!!! But of course , what social problems??? They'll be just another source of slaves for the er..compassionate and charitable local Indian biz!!! Nah,they may *sound totally different from local Tamils* but with the Tamil caste system alive and kicking in Msia, they'll feel like its home in no time.

Human beings aged 19 and above are 'child soldiers' in your dictionary. well done!

You said 'THE Malay Mail and I had to stumble upon the news item by AFP on the internet'.

You have teamed up with a Klang valley paper to scrounge for such news and comment on it?

Why do you have to take the AFP news as the truth?

You are saying that AFP is more credible that our own newspapers?

Pelik lah tuan!
You have aged - but not grown up.

Instead of taking in more foreigners, MOHR should go to great lengths to encourage the local boys to find jobs in construction industries. If not mistaken, charity begin at home, eh?

These children were born into war. They were trained to fight for a cause they did not understand. Sympathy should be shown here and as I am sure that if every country says "Its not my problem, or we dont want any other problems" then it becomes a matter of trading our humanity for the sake of mere convenience. Lol, reminds me of a chinese saying " If you want to die dont do it in my backyard, causes more hassle for me" lol..

With all the efforts put in place to encourage the rakyats from every race to join those mans in uniform yet it still not that successful to enthuse peoples to grab that challenge. Yes take it easy.

If that is the case then for any kids to participate in the armed conflict, a kind of indoctrination might have been used upon them and that could start at the very tender age of eight or so. It should be it.

And now, there is claims that those kids have undergone systematic rehabilitation and most probably thought cleansing and brain washing as well. The question that lingers here would be its effectiveness. Yes how to confirm on that? Hmm, it seems that you guys will always enjoys garbage and crap, as it were.

Hey Pasquale

Saw a reader's view, which was vety interesting, in your "friend's" blog - Malaysia Today.

The article start like this:

In Malaysia, we already know that the PIG (Police Inspector general) is under the control of gangsters.
And the gangsters are under the control of UMNO.

This fellow copied your style.
You affectionately call the Leader of the Opposition as Brother Anwar Bin Ibrahim (in short - BABI).

The guy who psotd his views in Malaysia Today, http://mt.m2day.org/2008/content/view/26551/84/ used the words Polic Inspector General (in short..PIG).

Some people do not respect your exclusive innovations that are 'copyright restricted'.

Now we have a PIG joining the ranks of BABI.

What else can happen, of friend with morals?

You want to invent more affctionate naes and abbreviations?

This is all part of a grand plan to reduce the deficit. You see if you employ citizens you have to pay monthly salry, one month bonus, you must pay EPF and you must provide housing, motorcycle allowance, hand phone allowance and you must give Hari Raya Party, you must give Deepavali party and you must also give buka puasa party. You employ these desperate people they will not dare demand too much because they will be deported. This is used by many countries to control the Labour Unions and their persistent wage demands.Ramalx

INDIANS KILLING INDIANS

(From today's papers only)

Death Toll : 5
Raped : 1
Drug charge : Many

1. JOHOR BARU: The body of a man wrapped up in a carpet was found stuck in a garbage trap near the Pulai water reservoir here. R. Maniam, 30 is believed to have been murdered elsewhere and dumped into the river.

2. SEREMBAN: A man found guilty for the murders of a politician and his son five years ago was saved from being sent to the gallows — as he was one month short of his 18th birthday when the killings took place. The man, who turns 23 next month, was convicted of killing former Rahang MIC branch chairman D. Balakrishnan, 54, and his 21-year-old son Kartigesan in September 2004.

3. JOHOR BARU: A 30-year-old man was jailed 12 years by the High Court here after he pleaded guilty to causing the death of his month-old son in June. G. Arumugam admitted to the offence. Deputy Public Prosecutor Mohd Fazaly Mohd Ghazaly said the baby suffered multiple injuries caused by a blunt object on his head, chest and abdomen.

4. KUALA LUMPUR: The main suspect in the murder of a woman whose body was found buried in a concrete staircase landing is a violent man with a history of child abuse and assault. The wife of the man had admitted during police questioning that she saw her husband killing the woman after a heated argument. The dead woman has been identified as Chitra, 43, a divorcee

5. KUALA LUMPUR: A 27-year-old woman was being raped by two men in a shed when a passer-by, who heard her screams, alerted the police who rushed to the scene and rescued her. ACP Rahim urged anyone with information on the whereabouts of G. Dyayalan (I.C. No 840410-14-6187), whose last known address is 22-00-09 Gombak Setia, Batu 5, KL, to alert the nearest police station

6. KUALA LUMPUR: A drug trafficking syndicate operating within the compounds of various temples in the city has been smashed following the arrest of five of its members. Initial investigations showed that the members would wait for their clients in areas around Brickfields, Pantai Dalam and Bangsar. Three men and a woman, aged between 31 and 51 years, were nabbed at the temple at 10.45pm. All of them tested positive for opium.

Nani Cheras!

I totally in agreement with you. Visa On Arrival (VOA) should and must be abolished!
You they say one make money by being a prostitute, but such vocation leads to many risks such as the prostitute and her client will be exposed to STD such as HIV positive.
Harsh analogy, but Malaysia must stop acting like a prostitute for the sake of Tourism statistics many VOA arrivees tend tend not to leave Malaysia!
And also by taking ex-child soldiers from Sri Lanka we should have made it clear with the Sri Lankan government that while we can help them combat terror in that country we must not be cornered into accepting deals or terms of conditions that may lead to our own potential social problems!

TQ Pasquale but is it too difficult to find the root cause of some of our 'problems' ?

If TAAB cabinet were HP6, then what are the current cabinet good for ? To be Mr Popular for PRU13 ?

Please lah, start listening to the grassroot who may be un-educated but could have simple solutions to some of our problem.

BTW, my comment in UMNO Bahagian blog may be too nasty to be published.

Thanks again.

Very well then, I didnt say that we should allow the immigirants to come into malaysia. But, just to sympathize with their plight and some consideration should be used before calling these people barbarians and whatnot. I am sorry if I didnt make myself clear on this.

And as a response a statement by
"anonymous"

If you are saying that the indian race is the "only race" that cannot control their emotions then you are sorely mistaken. The Malays and Chinese have also demonstrated that they are succeptible to be overcome with emotions. As human beings this is a common infliction and we indians shouldnt be singled out.
Good day to you.

Anonymous said...

Anon Sept 09. 9:01 pm,

When your race is ridiculed, it seem that there is no way you will except it as it is. You and your kind always say this:

1. The others alsoo..

2. This is a common infliction...

3. Do not single out...

But from the so many comments made by you and your kind in Meroyan Insider, Meraungkini and Batumalai Today, why is it that you don't treat the others just like what you expect the others to treat you!

What we notice from the comments made by the non-Malays is that:

1. The Malay is like this and like that; but never admit that your kind also like this and like that.

2. This and that afflictions only involved the Malays; and even this and that inflictions are common to any race but yet you dare to claim yours are the sacred cow lots.

3. For everything that seem not right, you always single out the Malay race and their religion; when the troubles started by your kind and yet none of you dare to single out your own race (except for Redhuan Tee Abdullah)!!!

Are you going to deny that you and your kind are actually the racist pigs, hypocrites and bigots?

Given the current Indonesian situation vis a vis Malaysia, I am more concerned about the Indonesian workers (legal & illegal here). If Indonesia decides to start a war with Malaysia they already have a huge 'force' inside our country - worrying isn't it?

Anonymous said...

Yes, it's not a good feeling. The Ministry and authorities really need to get serious about the 1 million Indon patis already. These are and will increasingly pose a heavy load on our social system and don't forget they also reproduce!!!

Kampung Boy..

You have taken what I have said out of context. I was responding to a generalized statement that clearly did not have any basis.
But, I agree with you that most people are quick to put the blame on others before coming to realize that part of the blame rests on their own kind. I have only been posting in this forum for a week. And I am new to the political blogosphere. From now on I will just use the nickname Rever for further identification.

I vaguely recall hindraf founder committee member suing the IGP for mentioning "connection" of Hindraf with LTTE. Now we are informed of this story. I suppose the IGP won't say it without any basis. If the case proceeds it will sure exposed Hindraf connections.
