Rosmah just like to sing there is nothing wrong with that!

Yes she CAN sing, including Mandarin songs!

Below is what I 'd term as a sad journalistic commentary about how everything - read non-issue- is desperately being turned into an "issue" hoping its readers, I am referring to Malaysiakini, taking real material and making feeble attempts to discredit the ruling party under Prime Minister Dato' Sri Najib Tun Razak.

Malaysiakini, make no mistake for come the general elections I believe the Malaysian-Chinese community votes will see Barisan Nasional (BN) be given a two-thirds or more majority for average Malaysian -Chinese, Malays or Indians and others - are just fed-up of constantly having their common sense insulted by the ilk of Anwar Ibrahim and his band of desperate followers.

The fact that Rosmah and their son Mohd Ashman were singing Mandarin songs had nothing to do with fishing for Chinese votes, and this is a good example of how an opposition website, probably funded by Brother Anwar Bin Ibrahim, insults the Malaysian-Chinese community implying that the fact that the prime minister's wife and son were singing Mandarin songs can turn the Chinese votes to the BN?

Malaysiakini! It only shows Rosmah can sing Chinese songs and any other songs, that is all, and plus the fact that the wife of out prime minister can actually sing! No more no less, morons!

Below is what Malaysiakini's column VOX POPULI can come out with in the website by insulting the intelligence of average Malaysians as a whole:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

vox populi big thumbnail'The PM has turned to his family to help woo the Chinese back. Desperate times calls for desperate measures but getting his family to do a 'Sound of Music' number is pathetic.' Rosmah and son serenade Chinese business do Doc: Times are really bad for Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak. He needs the Chinese votes more then ever in view of the dissipating Indian and Malay voters if he and BN are to scrape through the next general elections. MCA's never-ending squabbles and Umno's ultra-Malay stance have alienated the Chinese from BN. Getting no support from MCA and even his Umno party, he has turned to his family to help woo the Chinese back. Desperate times calls for desperate measures but getting his family to do a 'Sound of Music' number is pathetic. Teh: Someone should tell Norashman that this song has already been taken up by PAS. The 'Moon Represents My Heart' is actually the PAS moon symbol and not Umno's 'keris'. Najib and Rosmah Mansor should try singing some other song. Be more creative and innovative. Don't just copy other people's ideas. By the way the Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCIM) and MCA do not represent the Chinese community comprising the hawkers, the factory workers and other ordinary citizens whose votes will matter most to Umno. So pandering to them is barking at the wrong tree (or moon in this case). Foo Wy Len: Ma'am and Junior, a nice try and I thank you for trying but what about Umno's 'Ketuanan Melayu' and the ranting by Perkasa and its ilk?

You may sing the same song 1,000 times or 1,000 other Mandarin songs but one thing for certain - MCA and ACCIM may represent themselves but definitely not the ordinary/simple Chinese like me who just want to be treated as a Malaysian and have a better tomorrow for my children. There must be more Chinese like me than all the Chinese in MCA/ACCIM/Gerakan/Supp combined. Gk: Najib is still living in a denial mode when he says 'The Chinese community needs your (I presume MCA and Gerakan's) leadership'. The fact is that the Chinese community has already abandoned the whole of the BN and not just MCA and Gerakan. All right-thinking Malaysians irrespective of our colour and beliefs are favouring fair play, natural justice for all, meritocracy, institutions of integrity with the high morals and diversity that we find in Pakatan Rakyat. As long as you choose to stick to your idea of Malay supremacy and supporting the racist Perkasa, your propaganda of a '1Malaysia' alone will not be able to win you back support from right-thinking Malaysians. Insaflah kamu.

Leave her alone. We always sang all kind of languages those days. Why are we so inclined to pick on such a sincere and noble gesture? I love to sing at functions and I perfectly understand where she is coming from

Bro Pasquale,

I only know a line or two of an old Chinese number, Wo ai ter ni, Wo cai na li, or something like that so if she and son can sing a whole song or a song or two, hey! Tabik spring!

Rosmah and singing will take me wihtout fail to the night in KL when she sang several songs to raise funds for the late Farid's cancer treatment.

She raised RM40,000 for the ex STar journalist, more than anyone else did.

Not bad at all.

Those comments shows the real psyche of the chinese. They value not the offer of comradeship by Najib and family.

Their support for PR is really a smokescreen to dismantle the Malay leadership symbolised by UMNO.

Their justification of PR as icon of fairplay, justice, meritocracy reminds you of lky when he first became a politician.

The rest is history, where the chinese dominates economically, politically, socially and other ly ...

Najib should just forget about the soft approach, the iron hand is more suitable with these people

I am surprise not to see Rosmah or Najib supporters commenting in your blog: people like Pahit Manis aka Ahmad Talib, Rockybru, Jejak Pujangga aka Ashraf Abdullah, The Voice and Big Dog, Nuraina Samad etc!
If they are not supporting Rosmah and Najib what chance do they have?

Typical of Opposition supporters!

If they can't find anything to talk about, just attack Rosmah!

Nothing wrong with singing in Mandarin! In fact syabas to her for supporting Najib's one Malaysia!

How is that no one commented about Anwar Ibrahim when he wwent around town always using Mandarin to woo the crowd?

We all know his stance when he was Education Minister yet, those blind to his devious ways are behind him!

I say, carry on singing maam!

Those who are truly Malaysians know that the PM is doing a good job!

I still remember when Brother Anwar Bin Ibrahim (BABI) mimic Mandarin in the most patronising manner, and we all know how he scolded S. Samy Vellu for wanting more Hindu temples and yet the Chinese and the Indians --many be not all-- are now all supporting him, I firmly believe those who support really want to see UMNO destroyed and a new3 regime to be created under a different coalition? Comprising people like Tian Chua, Gobalakrishnan, Gwo Burne, Tony Pua, Lim Kit Siang, Azmin Ali, and Khalid Jaafar a senator, and also many many more people who have no interest in this country but to disrupt what they perceived in this country as being controlled by Malays? I don't think so!

You guys have no idea how good life here in Malaysia, we left dreary Ireland to work for a company here and we are thinking of not going back.
Your racial undertone in your political process is how Ireland started where Protestant Irish killing Protestant Catholic or vice versa! I believe the government in Malaysia is stable compared to many in the world, so we suggest you guys should use your head instead of your arses to think! Sorry but lately here it is beginning for us to remind us of our past in Belfast!

People are fed up. But it may be Barisan who gets the brunt of the anger. Or is it the emperor wears no clothes mentality?

average chinese right now is willing to go all the way to oppose umno. if u cannot figure that out, then call an election in any of the froggie seats and find out.

trengganu gone case. perak gone case. pahang ok, pm factor should ensure that it stays. kedah gone case. kelantan gone case. perlis 50-50. selangor gone case. negeri safe. melaka safe. johor 60-40. sarawak - ???? sabah - safe.

so i count states, 6 states safe pakatan. 5+1 states safe BN. Sarawak decider.

But then , the alternative emperor wears no clothes is always more palatable. creates the illusion that the pm and his advisors know what they are doing when 1Malaysia knows that this administration is characterized by policy flip flop, incessant bickering amongst BN machinery, 1 and 2 contradicting each other, economic policy that is high income on paper, crime that is spiralling out of control and you add lah.

but pls continue to paint a rosy picure. proves this team is clueless.

PS: I will not comment on the issue of the PM/wife/son performance.

Anon @ March 17, 2010 5:53 AM,

Are you a fortune teller? Or a politician wannabe?

You said, "average chinese right now is willing to go all the way to oppose umno"

well well well, this is the crux of the matter, your objective is dismantle the Malay govt

so you will support an ex-convict and a hudud champion to do just that

the only problem is can we imagine anwar or nik aziz as PM??

eeeee ssccaaaryyyy

No amount of singing from Rosmah and son will bring back the Chinese votes. It has nothing to do with the quality of the singing or lack of it. And the more Najib use these pathetic methods in the hope of winning votes, the more disappointe dhe will be. I'd advise him to just concentrate on the forthcoming gerry-mandering where hopefully he can use the expected two-thirds majority to pass through the legislation. Save Rosmah's and Najib's singing at the bathroom. Give the professional singers a chance to "cari makan"

anon 11:22,
i could not give a crap whether the umno govt stays or goes. its just my perception.

i c u prefer that, so let it be. I-m just going on record to tell BM whom I consider as an ok chapk to tell his bosses advisors to wake up their idea or face the consequences

zulkfili i think echoes the same pt.

and i gave u the right to adopt the "emperor has no clothes mentality."

Anon 925pm,

Let me refresh your memory.

You wrote "average chinese right now is willing to go all the way to oppose umno. if u cannot figure that out, then call an election in any of the froggie seats and find out."

This is as racist as any chinese can be.

Zulkifli is saying the EXACT opposite. I understood it as "don't bother about the chinese votes anymore. Concentrate on the Malay votes".

And please get off that emperor thingy, this is not china. Use a proverbial saying that is localised.
